What have we learned from completing over 200 AI-enhanced creative projects and counting? In addition to working 30% to 60% faster and saving our customers more than $300,000 in the process. But what about the creative itself? These 10 AI design examples make it crystal clear that no creativty or quality was sacrificed in the process.
As we've been beta-testing our AI-enhanced creative services, we've become even more convinced of its power to help us work more efficiently and enable greater creativity.
In fact, the data from our first 200 AI projects showed that, on average, these projects took 30% to 60% fewer hours—translating into $300,000 in savings for Superside customers. We're also incredibly proud of our nearly 100% satisfaction rating.
So, we've checked the boxes for speed and cost-effectiveness. But, what about the levels of quality, creativity and impact? These 10 AI design examples more than prove that you can leverage the force-multiplying effect of AI and creative that performs.
We can cite statistics all day, but what you really want to see are real-world examples of AI design, so here you go! Speaking of speed, if you're already curious and want to learn more, book a call and we'll chat.
D2L Brightspace, a leading educational technology company, wanted a new ad campaign that was simple, innovative and left a lasting impression.
Using Midjourney, we experimented with several prompts and image styles before landing on the bright, stylized orange aesthetic. After fine-tuning the new ad image style, we revised the prompts to create more variations to fit the style and brand messaging of the campaign. Finally, the ads were polished and finished in Photoshop.
Independence Pet Group (IPG), one of North America’s top pet insurance providers, wanted a cohesive new creative style for its internal brand assets.
Compared to the total time in which we completed this project using AI— a mere 11.5 hours—developing 14 brand illustrations and a series of stickers and virtual backgrounds in the same amount of time with traditional workflows would have been impossible.
Amsive, a performance marketing agency, came to Superside with a tall ask: Create compelling graphics to support an upcoming social media campaign that makes cookieless advertising and precision ad targeting look sexy.
To create the visuals for this project, our AI-enhanced creative team used:
The client provided the reference images below as guidance for the style and feel of the images.
From there, we revised the ChatGPT prompts and filtered them through Midjourney to create the concepts below.
Once we had approved concepts, we finalized the images in Photoshop and Vectorizer AI, pulling the visuals and text together into final ads within Figma for ease of versioning and export. (Another process that speeds delivery up to 70%.)
National Gas Metering, Great Britain’s largest gas meter manager, wanted to create a game for attendees at an upcoming construction industry convention. The problem was something most can relate to: time and budget. Developing event graphics the traditional way is a large investment in both time and money. But, thanks to AI, Superside executed the entire project in 20 hours.
Based on the well-known “Where’s Wally” game (known as Waldo in the US!), convention attendees would jump into animated scenes with the goal of finding Wally, a National Gas Metering worker. If they found him within a set time, they’d win a prize.
Since the customer had a strict budget, we used Midjourney to create several 2D images, refining them down to a cohesive set of characters. We then created background scenes and inserted the characters into these settings.

SmartNews, a leading news app in Japan, wanted to create bold banner ads for their upcoming sports news campaign. But, they didn’t want to use stock photos.
Enter: impactful AI-enhanced images.
How do you show a sport, like American football, being played without using stock photos from real games? That was the challenge we had to solve.
AI tools like Midjourney have come a long way when it comes to generating realistic-looking images. However, the process still requires expert prompts and some post-production work in Photoshop to pull off an authentic photorealistic look.
Before AI, creating ads like these would only be possible with either stock photos or arranging an expensive photo shoot. Thanks to AI, we completely avoided stock photos—generating 154 newe brand images, featuring tennis, soccer and football, for SmartNews’ banner ad campaign.
Ava Labs had a specific ask: At least eight unique X (Twitter) Space backgrounds for upcoming presentations.
One of the most important parts of maintaining a strong brand identity is infusing across every internal or external asset. Then, again, saving time and money in the process is also a win.
Using Figma and Midjourney we quickly narrowed down the best background options from over 3,300 initial image components.
Animated explainer videos, created using motion graphics, are effective at “stopping the scroll” and hooking audiences. But, to be truly successful, they also have to be on-brand and informative.
Synthego, a biomedical research supplier, wanted to create a video about their new CRISPR gene technology for World CRISPR Day—you know, in five days...
With only five days before World CRISPR Day, creating a traditional animated video was out of the question. While AI-enhanced designers used AI to rapidly generate assets, our motion design experts focused on arranging the scenes, movement and, the most important part of every video, great storytelling.
To add movement, we used Photoshop’s AI generative fill to expand upon the layers generated by AI tools. Using After Effects, we set up 3D cameras to “navigate” through the multi-layered scenes, adding depth and interest—an effect commonly used in classic Disney movies back in the day.
Having recently rebranded, iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solutions provider Boomi needed a new collection of digital ad designs to match its new look and stand out in the crowded cloud-based tech market.
Before we created the ads, we worked with Boomi to define a bold new creative direction. The guiding concept was finding the perfect balance between realism and creativity through modern design and 3D visuals.
We explored image generation with Adobe Firefly, especially for 3D assets, and experimented with conceptual styles in Midjourney. Finally, we refined the images in Photoshop and put together the final ads to align with Boomi’s brand standards.
Even Superside uses Superside and with stellar results. In just five days we designed and printed 21 unique, personalized Pixar-inspired posters, then hand-delivered them at a dinner event in New York City.
Creating each character with traditional 3D modeling would have taken about a month per character. Leveraging AI tools, Superside cut that down to only five days for 21 characters.
Before the poster design began, we researched each "character's" unique background by skimming through their social profiles, gathering headshots and novel ideas for developing prompts.
We used ChatGPT for prompting backgrounds and locations and leveraging DALL-E to develop the characters.
All of this, including professional poster printing, was completed in five days—with cost savings of 98.79%.
PlayerLync’s platform boosts mobile workforce efficiency for some of the world’s top companies, like Starbucks, Wingstop and Crocs. They needed new product imagery, icons and backgrounds to refresh their website branding and to use across other channels.
Using AI design tools let us quickly explore a range of concepts before agreeing on a final direction for the new visuals.
First, we created mood boards.
From there, we generated individual graphic assets and created images and illustrations that aligned with PlayerLync’s aesthetic, colors, tone and key messaging.
As with all AI design projects, the challenge was ensuring each separate image was a cohesive part of the overall collection.
If you think humans caught on to electricity fast, hold on to your hat. AI is being adopted even faster—with marketers and creatives leading the way.
The future of AI in design is being built right now—which is exciting and terrifying all at the same time.
But, you don't have to figure this out all by yourself—not by a long shot.
We've always been here to help you and your teams plug into the creative services you need. And we're upping our game, gathering the best talent and developing the most efficient ways to make AI work to fuel growth.
