Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) restricts access based on a person’s roles and responsibilities within an organization. RBAC allows Superside to more easily manage access to sensitive information and comply with compliance requirements. Personnel are granted logical and physical access to these systems based on documented approvals by appropriate management personnel.
Personnel are only allowed to access the information necessary to effectively perform their job duties. The requirements to receive a certain role is dependent on authority, responsibility, and job competency. As a result, personnel that are not entitled to have access to sensitive data will not be assigned the roles required to view or maintain any such data, thereby improving data security standards.
The privileges contained within the roles and the users who these roles have been assigned to are evaluated annually to ensure that the appropriateness of access to data is kept up to date and maintained to reflect changes in the business.
