But to match their forward-thinking approach, Density needed visuals that could tell this story in a fresh, futuristic way.
THE BRIEF
A Fresh Take on Futuristic, Tech-Driven Illustrations
Density wanted to move beyond overused stock photos and typical vectors. They needed visuals that felt as cutting-edge as their tech. The goal? To create space-themed illustrations that blended technology and human interaction, showing the contrast between crowded, busy spaces and open, productive environments. Most importantly, they wanted illustrations that were 100% unique—something you wouldn't find anywhere else online.

Here's the moodboard we created to kick off the exploration phase by sourcing images online:

We dove into the project using Midjourney, an AI tool from our creative arsenal, to start building Density's vision. The focus was on showing how people use and move through workspaces—blending elements of technology and space.
1st iteration: Midjourney
The first round of AI-generated visuals explored both cramped and open environments, but something was off.
After reviewing the first batch, Density requested a more optimistic tone.
Love the visuals, but the colors make them look a bit dystopian. Can we make them more optimistic?
2nd iteration: Midjourney + Photoshop
Bianca Takahashi, Creative Gen AI Specialist at Superside, had a quick and flexible solution that didn't involve starting from scratch.
Here's how she did it:
- Generating similar images with new colors: Instead of reworking each image manually, Bianca adjusted key visuals in Photoshop—changing dark, dystopian hues to brighter ones like yellow, blue, and orange.
- Feeding adjusted images back into AI: By feeding these modified images back into the AI, we quickly generated an entire batch with the updated color palette, ensuring consistency across all visuals.
- Exploring options efficiently: AI let us experiment with multiple variations without the time sink. Bianca could push creative boundaries, knowing new options could be generated in no time.
After feeding the edited images back into Midjourney, the rest of the images were much easier to generate because we had already established the style. We went from a dystopian, chaotic moodboard to a more organized, aligned, and consistent image batch.
