How is Superside for Slack app different from Slack Connect?

Slack Connect allows you to set up an account-level chat. Superside Slack app allows you to set project-level chats, create projects directly from Slack, access your designs, and stay informed with need-to-know notifications.

Why should I get Superside for Slack app if I use Slack Connect?

There are 3 basic collaboration use cases: An account-level Slack channel (e.g., # acme-superside) to exchange messages with the Superside team. An account-level Slack notifications channel (# superside-notifications) to receive crucial updates. Project-level channels (# 12345 - theamazingproject) to collaborate with Superside on design projects (e.g., submit briefs, provide feedback, access designs, etc.) in the same way as you would from the Superside platform. Slack Connect only solves for (1). Superside Slack app solves for (2) and (3) and soon for (1), making Slack Connect dispensable.

How do I set up the Superside for Slack integration?

Get your Superside subscription admin to navigate to the ‘Integrations’ section under ‘Settings’ within the Superside platform. Click “Install Superside for Slack”’ and follow the prompts. Once set-up is complete, the hub channel #superside-notifications will appear on Slack. Feel free to reach out to your CSM for any support or questions!

You can choose to have project channels created automatically. This means every time you start a new Superside project, a shiny new channel will be ready and waiting for you.

Create project channels from Notifications

If you're more of a pick-and-choose kind of person, you can create a Full Sync project channel for just the projects you want, straight from your Notifications channel.

Tidy up with archive

When you wrap up a project, if there's a Full Sync project channel for it, we'll archive it. This keeps your workspace neat and tidy, without any old project clutter.
